Here's a COMPLETE WORKING HELIUM CADMIUM VIOLET LASER HEAD. Power supply required, and not supplied. (Complete system, Head and Exciter, available on separate auction of ours.)
Unlike laser pointers, this laser creates TEMoo Mode, COLLIMATED laser light required for scientific and industrial uses.
It was removed from service in Xerox printer/scanner and has been well maintained. Technical information sheets, schematics and service information included.
Operates on 120VAC, fan-cooled. Inherent to He-Cd lasers is HIGH internal temperature in the vicinity of the cathode and ballast power resistors, so use caution without cover on.
It is lasing stably as shown in photos. Maximum output per label is 40 mw. although 60+mw is possible. The output is the deepest violet. Puts laser diodes to shame.
