This diode replaces the 3.8mm PL450B with the same specs just in a 5.6mm package.
At factory rated current of 165mA these will do around 175mW with a high pass lens like a DTR-G-2.
Max suggested current is 275mA which can give around 300mW with a high pass lens like a DTR-G-2.
Diodes are current hungry and as they heat up their internal resistance is lowered causing them to want to draw more current. Don't attempt to connect the diode directly to a fixed voltage source like a battery or constant voltage power supply. You must use a "constant current" laser driver with the current limited to no more than 275mA or you diode will suffer thermal runaway and die.
Save yourself the headache of extracting, pressing and soldering on your diode. Just add host, heatsink and driver.
The current must be limited to no more than 275mA to the diode suggest 200mA for best life expectancy.
Don't attempt to connect directly to a battery you need a laser driver to power this diode. I do offer a boost driver that is capable of driving this diode off a single Li-Ion see my LDSE500 laser driver listing.
All modules are tested and are in working condition prior to shipping.
Modules are wired with extremely flexible 26AWG wire that is burn proof and makes for very easy soldering.
