Reproduction of the 1986 San Joses "Bad News" Bees on-field players cap. Modern construction made with wool serge fabric and a stiff crown, not wool broadcloth and a soft crown like typical Ebbets Field Flannels caps. This is their equivalent to a New Era 5950. Classy back satin panel tape inside the crown and a kelley green cotton UV just like the original. The logo is properly-sized and copied directly from a genuine original cap.

The 1986 San Jose Bees were an independent, unafiliated team in the California League with a roster of former MLB players that had been blacklisted for drug and alcohol-related offenses. The team received publicity around the world from Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, and even the London Times. The team was also partnered with the Seibu Lions of Japan who supplemented the Bees roster with young prospects.
